Hi Ellen, Now how about a picture? Maybe we can both figure out how to post one. Help us Dale!!! Have an awesome day and I hope you are feeling better Ellen!! Carol
Hello my blog friends, What a nice surprise for you to visit. Yesterday was just another day, only 2 of my 3 children called. My best Mother's Day was 4 years ago. From my daughter came a bracelet. It had links that spelled out: WE LOVE OMA, and 4 links with birthstones on them: March for Brook, May for Laine, June for Trent, and November for ????? Was that great?!!!! Oma Ellen
i have 2 children and only 1 of my mine called, but she called 3 times, so maybe one was for my son??? .....and life does go on.
karyce is doing good. she'll be 8 mos old on the 23rd and is really growing. she loves to sing, at least that's what i call it. she is such a happy baby. her name means God's grace, and she really does have His grace.
i forgot all about working on getting a pic of me done. will have to focus on that.

It's promising to be a busy Saturday morning for me as the front desk at the health center where I work has already called for me. So I have to get my act together shortly and roll out of here.
Couldn't resist taking a peek at your blogsite though. Congrats for getting it up and running. Looking forward to seeing you post a picture of yourself soon.
My dear blog friends, I'll be spending this week at my daughter's in Michigan, to take care of my 4 Enkel(kinder). Have an awesome week, y'all. Ellen Monday, 5/22/06
Any of you that are watching the storks at storchennest.de The first chick hatched 5/27, the second 6/1 at 9:43 AM; usually they hatch during the night. Its 19:35 in Germany right now, maybe you can get a look at the chicks while the parents change brooding duties. Ellen 6/2/2006 @13:35 EST
Hello blogger friends, 6/6/06, for me a day where I don't have to wonder if the day or the month is the first number of the date. When you go to storchennest.de keep in mind that in German the day comes first. The chicks died last year. The autopsy showed a fungal infection transmitted by the food, frogs and stuff, that the parents fed the chicks. Go to NEWS, than to the year 2005. look at 7.6.05 = 6/7/05 and 22.6.05 = 6/22/05 I keep only seeing one chick, but they do not mention anything adverse in the 2006 news. Willy, You were lucky to be on an (American?) military train going to Berlin. That way you were not SUBJECT to being searched by the Russians My Oma (mother's mother), and one aunt & husband lived in West Berlin. My parents could tell horror stories of their trips there. Berlin was totally surrounded by Russian occupied land, so crossing the 2 borders often was extended into hour long ordeals for the travellers being searched. It all depended on the mood the Russian were in that day, they had total control of the "East Germans" that had to do the dirty work. Berlin itself was divided into 4 parts, according to occupation by Americans, British, French, and Russians. Only the Russians set up a controlled border between their and the other sections. The WALL was built August 1961, to make it even more difficult for Germans to cross from East to West Berlin. It "came down" October 3rd 1990. My mother and us 4 oldest children were born in Berlin. Because of the heavy bombing November 1943, my father advised my mother to move out from Berlin. Than 36 years old, he was stationed in Russian Ukraine at the time. Since summer 1956 my family lived in Frankfurt. Y'all have a lovely week, great day in Ohio today. Ellen 6/6/06 14:50 EST
Hi Ellen Thanks for the information on the baby storks...I visit them every day and enjoy watching them...sometimes I have it on so I can hear them while I am checking e-mail.
And thank you for sharing a little about your family with us. My parents were in Rotterdam during the war and I can't imagine what it would be like to have your lives changed so drastically by war. I did go on the military duty train to Berlin...we travelled at night and were stopped in Helmstedt where they searched all around and under the train with flashlights...we were peeking through the dark curtains and kept very quiet...it was very eerie even for us as Americans. I also went to East Berlin through Checkpoint Charlie and remember the museum there at the wall with all of the pictures and stories of the people who tried to escape and how they did it. Some made it across and some didn't... We were stationed in Germany three times. 1>Schweinfurt: April 1970-Nov 1970 2>Friedberg/Bad Nauheim: 1974-1977 3>Baumholder: 1979-1982
My second daughter was born in Wurzburg in 1970...we left when she was 6 weeks old because my husband was being sent back to Vietnam for the 2nd time...so I moved back to California with my 2 daughters.
I have many happy memories of our time in Germany and still keep in touch with friends I met there. When you are in the military, they become like family to you. I miss it alot and enjoyed sharing a little of it with you. Tcheuss! Guten Nacht :)
hi ellen, i'm going to take the summer quarter off from school also. this rest has really been nice, and since i'm still recuperating from my foot injury, it'll make things much easier. i volunteer with our summer camp that we have here in my neighborhood, so i'll probably do that 2 days a week.
Good morning... I was just leaving for work...I posted this on frannie's blog last night and thought you'd be interested. It's regarding the stork nest.
Arrival at the nest: 29. March First stork (male) arriving the nest 03. April 00:50 Uhr - An female stork arrive at the nest. Begin of a lasting relationship of the couple Eggs in the nest: 25. April 1st egg in the nest 27. April 2nd egg in the nest 29. April 3rd egg in the nest 01./02. May 4th egg in the nest Hatching of the young: 27. May 1st young bird hatched out - named Lenka. 01. June 2nd young bird hatched out - named Meto. Loss of nestlings: 03 June The oldest bird - Lenka - died
So that is why we have only seen 1 baby. I guess there are still 2 eggs to hatch?
Sylvia, Good for you! If there is no great rush, might as well smell the roses on the way to furthering your education.
Willy, Not to "pull a Val" (LOL) I'll respond to you here. My father's branch of the Max Plank Institute moved to Frankfurt in 1956, after 9 years in the Harz Mountains. As you know, Frankfurt is under American occupation, the Northern Harz up to Hannover under British occupation. I met my GI husband when I was 16 (1958) while he was stationed in Frankfurt. When we got married late 1959,he had been transferred to Friedberg. So we lived there and in Bad Nauheim both. My first son was born 11/21/1960 in a Frankfurt Hospital that the Americans had taken over in 1947. My mother made sure I went to the "Natural Childbirth" classes including pregnancy and postpartum exercises. That explains me trying to get them going in this country. Elvis was in the same platoon with my husband, in Frankfurt and Friedberg both. He also dated a girl that lived by my parents in Frankfurt. Didn't mean much to me at the time. BTW, my son was conceived after my husband had spent 2 months in Grafenwoehr; he was born in a very busy hospital!! LOL
Last year the managers of storchennest.de were much more communicative about what went on, every event was also e-mailed to me. You must have looked later at their site than I did, because I kept checking on news about Lenka.
Time to finish mowing, its' supposed to rain later on. I have one acre, some at quite a slant. I do it with a push/ bag mower. My neighbors just shake their heads about me, while they ride passed me. They do it with a smile...or is it a grin?
Hi Ellen...that was so interesting and I thank you for sharing. I lived in Bad Nauheim from 1974 thru 1977 in government housing behind the commissary. I was shown the house that Elvis rented while he was stationed there...wow! Your husband was in the same unit! There is a hotel next to the commissary called Hotel Lindemann...well, my aunt in Rotterdam is best friends with the owners of that hotel and visits there every summer. She met them while she was there visiting us and they travel back and forth between Holland and Germany. I also had an uncle who lived in Nierstein...we would go there and buy cases of German wine...my favorite is a Niersteiner Rhein Hessen Spatlese or Auslese. As you can tell, I really loved living overseas. Maybe I should find me a nice active duty officer to marry? I enjoy conversing with you...I'm up much too late again tonight and will go to bed after I check on my little storchen. Tcheuss...
I also use a push mower on my lawn but I only have a small space. I love doing my own yardwork and it looks better than my neighbors who pay a lot of money for a landscaper.
Hi Willy, Marry an active duty officer? Didn't you have enough with the first one? LOL My oldest son did join the army to go to Germany. But he screwed things up, ended in Korea for 1 year. With your son 1 block away, you are just the right distance to enjoy him and your freedom both. Maybe talk him into enlisting? LOL
Now onto the storks: There are several nests where one of the parents gets killed and the left parent is unable to feed and tend to the chicks by itself. They take these chicks and either place them in another nest, or send them to a place for "artificial" raising. The chicks are checked for diseases or defects first. The transport is carefully controlled.
On Friday 6/9 @ 10:00 AM "Hugo" was placed into the nest we see on camera. They tried to pick a chick of similar age/size than Meto. The parent present at the time would not sit down on the chicks. @13:30 the other parent arrived, and tended to both chicks without reservation.
The chicks have to be ready for migration to Africa by August. If they do not develop properly, the parents will toss them out of the nest.
Das ist Alles (for now). Ellen 6/10/06 @ 15:15 EST
Hi Ellen, Who am I fooling? I don't know if I ever want to marry again, although it wasn't the military I had a problem with...it was the man I married, and he wasn't an officer...a senior NCO...both of my sons have no interest at all in the military...had enough of that with their dad. I'm still checking on little Hugo in the storchennest and have been communicating with some ladies from Holland through the forum there. I went wine tasting this evening therefore I am just a little bit tipsy :) I hope you are enjoying your weekend? Tcheuss
Hello blogger friends, My attention is now divided between the storchennest and the soccer world cup in Germany. Today, Sat 6/17, the USA played their second game, and tied 1:1 with Italy. So they are still "in the running". Now don't you all get too excited......the rest of the world knows that Americans couldn't care less about soccer. An awesome weekend to all that stop in, and a special hug to you, Sylvia Ellen Sat. 6/17/06, 23:53 EST Ooops, and to you too, Willy. Prost!!!
Sylvia, Of course there are some here that care about soccer, but most of them are immigrants LOL. Nice new blog you set up, I just didn't know anything clever to say for posting. Nice to be able to have a picture with the name. Willy and Cheryl, The next time you have "imbibed" see if you can pass the sobriety test on "the other" blogs! LOL Wow isn't Hugo growing fast! My sister Ingrid had given me that storchennest address last year. Kind of fun to think we two are looking at the same pictures, even though 5000 miles apart. Have an awesome week, Ellen
This is a shortened exert of Ann Lander's column May 6, 1995: It is still totally up to date in its' relevancy.
Here are some of the highlights of breast cancer risk by age quoted from the "Women's Health Letter": "...you had probably the phrase "one in eight" branded into your brain. This is what experts say is your risk of getting breast cancer. This figure does not, however, refer to your immediate risk. In other words, it doesn't mean that in a roomful of eight women one of them will get breast cancer at any given moment in time". The figure refers to a woman's general risk of getting breast cancer sometime in her lifetime if she lives to be 95!!!!! Women have different risks at different ages and the risk rises as you get older. A woman's chance to develop breast cancer are: At the age of 20, one in 2500 at 30, one in 233 at 40, one in 63 at 50, one in 41 at 60, one in 28 at 70, one in 24 at 80, one in 16 at 90, one in 8.
I will quote more about the risks of breast cancer for a woman in another post. Ellen 6/22/2006
hi ellen, my brother is doing great. God has completely healed him. all of his tests after finishing chemo and radiation are clear. thanks for showing concern. we are all so thankful that he's doing well. i hope you're doing well. i know you're excited about Germany winning the soccer match.
Hi Ellen...Here's the IBC site Ada recommended. Just copy and paste to your browser...the address has to be exactly as written...with all dashes and dots :) and it's a long one.
Hi Ellen, Happy Friday. Dr. Feelgood was a Army officer for 8 1/2 years. Our last duty station was Ft. Belvoir, VA. My 2 youngest were born at Ft. Campbell. Both by nurse midwifes. What a difference from my oldest and the resident that caught him on the way out. After 24 hours of solid back labor. I can't download the breast cancer site on my computer. So if anyone can describe what its about that would help. I am a big time soccer fan. I coached the game for many years with my boys. Our place gets really wild during world cup matches. The boys are having a blast watching. Soccer was always on in our house. You have to love Spanish channels in Miami. I met a friend at a local English pub last night and of course the soccer match was on in the bar. Very rowdy. Have an awesome day everyone.
what are you doing this weekend? working? hanging out at the beach? going on a date? come on now, we won't tell. lol have a great weekend whichever one you're doing.
Hi Willy, Sylvia, Carol, and whoever else stumbles onto my BLOGK, Finally got back on the web, so posted some bragging on LA SWEET'S blog. Trying to get my huge yard mowed before it rains again. This part of Ohio, near Cleveland and Akron, almost got washed off the map Thursday. I am wearing a T-shirt I bought at the Frankfurt airport June 1990. On it the three times Germany won the cup, 1954, 1974,1990. My neighbors know what a Kraut I am, a no sour one!?? LOL Boy, the dutch soccer team was pretty rowdy in this last game....oh well, all that testosterone. Nice bodies! Great legs with all that running..... Maybe that is why soccer is not all that popular here, a player has to last through the whole game. The German team has two 37 year old ones on it. Ok, back out I go. The night is planned for time with tent building geezers LOL Tschuess, Ellen Sunday 6/25 19:08 EST
Hi Ellen, I'm just stopping by some of the blogs tonight to say hello and catch up. How nice that you and your sister Ingrid both watch the storchennest from different parts of the globe...makes you feel closer huh? I haven't checked on it in a few days but I will tonight. I believe there is an Ingrid who posts on the English forum is that your sister? I know that Ingrid is a common name but just wondering... When I read your post on breast cancer I was amazed by the statistics! Did you get to see the site about IBC? It is a TV news broadcast. Carol You, Ellen and I all have something in common...we all married military men. (I keep saying that I married the wrong person but then I have to think that without him, I would never have the family that I have today...so he was good for something)
I am learning more about soccer every day thanks to my daughter who keeps me up to date. She wanted Holland to win and her fiance' wants Portugal (He's from the Azores) and is a soccer coach. Lisa will be 36 this year and she's all over that field! She plays on a women's league and some of them are in their 40's! I think soccer is becoming a popular sport her in the USA. My uncle used to play in Holland and my cousins are pretty good soccer players also...I told Lisa that it's in her genes. My children are "Dutchicans" Dutch/Mexican :) both good soccer players.
Weds.6/28 ~noon EST Hallo, Got off a 12 hour shift a little bit ago. Will be out of the picture for a while, need all the beauty sleep I can get. Am too brain dead to think of anything clever to write. Franny just mailed me and her blog is closed, so she must be busy.....good job, Carol et al!
Isn't Hugo getting big?!
No, Ingrid does not blog anywhere, she doesn't even have an e-mail address. She gave me the storchennest address last year. When they had the chicks die last year, she made a big contribution to them. Oh, "my man" Paul Harvey is on! Tschuess, Ellen

thanks for your kind words. we're speaking from the heart. i've gotten to know (online, of course) the people we regularly blog with, and i don't believe anyone would intentionally hurt our feelings. i'm glad you said on your 1st comment here to vent feelings, opinions, viewpoints. sometimes people do need to do that. even though we may not always comment, i think we do step up in the time of need. i hope marty continues to blog with us. i know she's feeling a little hurt, and i'm glad she spoke up. sometimes we need that to focus less on ourselves. have a good nite.
Hi Ellen, So who do you think will play the final? Germany vs Portugal? Should be a good one! I have to admit that I haven't been watching but will try to catch the final game.
Germany gave it a great shot Ellen. I do believe the second overtime got them. Just a question of who got lucky first. We have been watching the game, watching Izzie pick on the huge shepherd, he is so tolerant of the little one. He hasn't tried to eat her yet. Fireworks on the beach tonight. Have an awesome evening. Carol
Happy Birthday, America. The successful lift off was a great present.
Italy won in overtime, 2:0; boohoo. I agree, Carol, they gave it a great shot. Thanks for your sympathy.
Don't feel like talking about anything right now, including sex. I find it disgusting for any male to grind their whatever against me. Had me walk off the dance floor several times. Ellen 7/4 -:)
Hi Ellen, I'm sorry that Deutschland lost against Italy. I had tears in my eyes watching them after the game... they were heartbroken and so was I for them. They gave it their all.
Hi Willy, Oh well, can't win them all. Same goes for Brazil, the strongest cup contender. They are the only country that has attended all 18 World Cups, and lead over all other countries by winning 6 times. On 7/9 the final play, Italy vs France, I assume there won't be much interest, except from Franny, LOL! Brenda mentioned her meeting with a soccer player. I met Pele downtown Frankfurt, when he was there for the World Soccer cup. A couple years later, in 1980, he was at the Akron Soap Box Derby. My son John was a counsellor for the Y camp where the international participating youngsters and the attending celebrities, including Pele, were staying. Pele recognized me! His name is a must to know for crossword puzzles, LOL. Going to the "Garden Party" tonight? Enjoy the wine and concert. TGIF!!!! (7/7/06) Ellen
Hi Ellen I'm copying my post from my blog to you here...
I love your story about Pele...my uncle also knew him as my uncle played soccer in Holland in his younger days. I'm leaving in a few to watch daughter Lisa play her little heart out...she absolutely loves the game! I'll post a few pics here later. The "Garden Party" was very relaxing last night. The music was Big Band/Benny Goodman type. A wonderful way to unwind after a long day. I'm so glad the weekend is here. I better get going now...have a great weekend everyone.
Hi Willy, Lisa probably has great legs from all the soccer playing! When at the hospitals I always took the stairs instead of the elevator. Sometimes another Doctor would run after me, just to watch my legs. They had never seen calf muscle definition on a woman's legs before (at least that is what they told me). Often by the 5th floor I would leave them "in the dust" Even though I was in high heels! LOL Have a great weekend! Sat. 7/8, 13:50 EST
cleaning up my e-mail I found this: (_!_) a regular ass (__!__) a fat ass (!) a tight ass (_*_) a sore ass {_!_} a swishy ass (_o_) an ass that's been around (_x_) kiss my ass (_X_) leave my ass alone (_zzz_) a tired ass (_E=mc2_) a smart ass (_$_) Money coming out of his ass (_?_) Dumb Ass REcognize anyone? Ellen Sunday 7/9
Hi Ellen I recognize quite a few of those asses! I hope your week is going well for you... It's been so darn hot here the past 2 weeks and I don't do well in the heat...took an hour nap this aftenoon and now I'm wide awake...but I'm sure I'll have no trouble sleeping tonight...I never do. I think I'll have a shot of Drambuie before I go to bed...you probably think I'm a lush because I'm always talking about alcohol. I really only have a glass of wine maybe 2 days a week with dinner and I like a margarita on a hot evening sometimes and my favorite nightcap is Drambuie. Goodnight...sleep tight
Willy, When over 40, the equivalent of one shot of booze or 2 glasses of wine /day are good for you. Just don't have a week's worth in one night every night. I just like teasing you, you are such a good sport. Prost, Prosit, Skol, zum Wohl..... Ellen 7/12 @ 2:40 AM
Hi Ellen TGIF! And you know what that means...wine and music in the park. I know you're just teasing me and you know that I'm just dishing it back to you sometimes. It's all in fun. I hope you have a nice weekend...how's the weather in Ohio? It's been so hot here but the evenings are just right, not too hot and not too cool...a perfect location for a drive-in. This town used to have one but it was destroyed for a shopping center. I used to love the drive in movies when I was younger. I remember one that was near LAX on Century Blvd. Not a good location for it since airplanes were flying overhead every 30 seconds! I'm going to work a little late this morning...6am-2pm instead of the usual 5am-1pm. Last night I went shopping and out to dinner with my mom (Oma) Actually her name is Elizabeth...how about that? Two Queen names...when I was born my mother told them my name would be Wilhelmina and they put down Willemina...she spoke no English and never bothered to correct it. I hated my name when I was a young girl but now I love it. My middle name is Diana and I wanted to change my name to that...glad I never did. Enough rambling...gotta make my coffee. Tcheuss and Salute :)
Saturday 7/15 @ 8:10 EST Good morning ladies, How nice of you to visit; thank you Willy and Wanda. Willy, your middle name is the one that never made it to be queen, Diana! How is that for interesting coincidence! I will try the blue thingy again, when I have the time AND patience. I had it once before, but Juno screws things up so often, that I stay as simple as possible, since my laptop computer is not used much. I'll complain about the weather in a separate post. Your "simple" friend Ellen
Here is Ohio for you: Rain, rain, and more rain...with or without hail, but with lots of wind and thunder. I think in the last 2 weeks we had only once 24 hours without rain. I can understand how in olden times people thought thunder is the rage of the Gods. Naming a weekday after them, Thursday, did not appease them.
This morning I got up at 6, to the song sparrows' morning concert. They live in my neighbor's bamboo patch behind my house, and serenade every sunrise and sunset with perfect timing. Just beautiful! I heard them through my bedroom window, open because it was so humid. I had awoken wringing wet, changed to the dry side of the bed, than got up and changed the soaked sheets. Wow, the worst hot flash I've ever had! Even cut out the electricity for a while, probably to protect me from getting electrocuted in my sweaty sleep. LOL A good weekend to you all, Ellen Sat. 7/15
You just made me laugh just now, what with the sweaty sheets and no electricity.
Sounds like a typical day in Belize where we are usually sweating from the heat and humidity when outside.
Inside is no better when the electricity fails. Because we are partially powered by hydro electricity, things have been going well lately due to the deluge of rain we are experiencing also.
Good morning Ellen I never thought of Princess Diana when I mentioned my middle name...her death was such a tragedy...I think everyone remembers where they were and what they were doing when they heard about her accident.
I'm sorry that you are dealing with such terrible weather...I can handle the rain but the heat and humidity are the pits! I love thunder and lightning...call me crazy but don't most people like the sounds of thunderstorms? I even have a CD with ocean waves crashing, waterfalls, thunderstorms, etc. Very relaxing to listen to especially when you are having trouble falling asleep.
And speaking of hot flashes...I hate taking pills so I started taking my Activella every other day to wean myself...well, I felt fine so I thought I would stop taking them altogether...not a good idea because the hot flashes came back big time...now I'm back on the pills every other day for now anyway...I'll wait until winter to try it again...it's no fun having hot flashes in this 100 degree temperature.
Enid What's with all the rain? I love rain...I'm sure ours will come in due time. I sure would love a big thunderstorm in this heat...our humidity is not high usually so the heat is bearable for most...I just don't do well in the heat. Summer is usually a person's favorite season...not mine, I'll take spring or fall anyday :)
Hi Ellen...I hear that you have company...enjoy and I'll check back in after the weekend...I'll be out of town for 2 days returning on Sunday evening and Ada is supposed to show up in California on Monday...I'm looking forward to seeing her again and hopefully show her around a little.
All last week I had my daughter's family here. Her children, meine Enkel, are 10, 8, 5, and 3 years old. By the time they left, I think I wore them out, LOL, am one tough Oma!! Ha!
I just got off a 14 hour shift at the Nursing Home. Posted on Franny's blog trying to get to #300.
Working is much harder than chasing after the grandkids, I am ready to collapse now...
Have an awesome Monday, 7/24/06 Tschuess, bis spaeter! Ellen
After 2 AM (EST) Tuesday 7/25 here in Ohio, and Franny has not opened up a new blog yet. Maybe she is trying to think of a theme?!
Are any of you still watching storchennest.de? Looks like Hugo took his first flight yesterday, Monday 7/24. In the picture archives the nest is empty from 17:10 till the last frame of the day@ 21:50 there are Hugo and one parent. This morning's pictures started at 6:01 with an empty nest. Hugo is back since 6:30, alone. Remember Germany is 6 hours ahead of EST, 7 hours ahead Chicago time, 9 hours CA time. So its 6:15 AM there now
I put this on Franny's new blog, and will post it here to have something meaningful on this blog.
Willy, There was no sunscreen until 1975, when Johnson&Johnson came out with "Sundown". What a blessing for fair skinned people! BTW sunscreen does not prevent skin cancer, only sunburn. And to ease your mind, having been exposed to too much sun and having had a sunburn as a child does not automatically mean you are going to get skin cancer, it does increase THE CHANCE of getting it. So enjoy the sun, your skin's Cholesterol makes Vitamin D from it.
Josie, Yes, there was some fun with posting on the BS site. Wonder how XX is doing, she felt so easily threatened! And for RR: So much for commitment from a man! IMO us women are more resilient, not easily discouraged by a "temporary" setback. Guess I am a reversed Chauvinist, LOL.
HAVE AN AWESOME (HOT) DAY, Ellen Tu. 7/25, @13:30 EST
Meany me put this on Franny's blog in response to her giving a receipt for a drink made with cola: How is this for being a spoilsport, but meant for our own good to prevent Osteoporosis: Colas have Phosphoric acid. The more of it that gets into the blood, the more Calcium is pushed out via the kidneys. Too much Cola contributes thus to getting Osteoporosis, a preventable problem. Colas are the only Sodas that have Phosphoric acid; check the labels. Written because I care, Dr. Ellen Th. 7/27, 12:48 EST
Ok ladies, Here another one of my smartallik remarks, but meant in all sin-cerity: No problem with drinking Sodas, and if you don't need the sugar calories, have all the diet soda you want. Its' only Colas that have the Calcium leaching Phosphoric acid. If you are not very physically active, water is fine. But remember, even the "inactive" body NEEDS one teaspoon of salt per day, preferably spread out over several hours, not all at once. Too much water will dilute the salt household, VERY dangerous!!!! They had a marathoner die during a race from overhydrating with just water. Gator Ade is like regular soda with some Potassium added. The body rarely needs this extra dose, unless your' an alcoholic.... If you are not very active physically, drink only when you are thirsty. Lots of water only keeps your kidneys busy, it does not flush anything out of your system except maybe the salt it needs. Wine, like chocolate, are good for you (in moderation). Great to fend off the grumpies! TGIF! Ellen Friday 7/28
Bad/ sad news: Hugo died a few days ago. I am unable to find out exactly when and under what circumstances. Somehow I got off their mailing list. On the storchennest.de site I found remarks about it in the forum. In their German version, on 7/7 they ask for contributions for more research of the Pulmonary Aspergillosis that killed the stork chicks this and last year. Hugo had it also, but he was also undernourished.
On Storchennest.de they finally give a report of Hugo's death, but in the German version only. They wanted to wait till all their reports where in, from the autopsy to exactly where all the fungus that killed him and the other chicks in this nest is. The Aspergillose spores were present in the nest building material and some surrounding vegetation. They are airborne, and activated by warmth. The blood tests done on Hugo 7/3 were totally normal, negative for fungus and bird flue. Hugo died on 7/24, from Pulmonary Aspergillosis and undernourishment. The warmth of breeding must have activated the fungus spores. I had read some of this in the forum, but I do not want to bore with all the details debated there. Ellen Tuesday 8/1
I'd like to say something positive and cheerful after being the messenger of bad news, but its' so hot and humid here in Ohio, that my brain is too fried.... The heat makes it impossible for me to go outside for any length of time, so I am stuck in the living room with its' A/C unit. The air conditioning is kaput in my 14 year old Porsche, so I arrive at work totally drenched. Good thing old people's smell is not acute, or they'd send me home. to sweat it out! LOL
Wow, sitting saps me of what little energy I have. Let me see if I can scrounge up some chocolate to perk me up.
Hi Ellen.... I'm so sorry to hear about little Hugo. I have to admit that I haven't been visiting the site as regularly as I used to. I really cared about him and now am so sad after all he has been through and also his parents who tried their best to help him make a good start in life. I understand that Mother Nature doesn't always cooperate when we want her to and this is nature...take it or leave it. I know that the people who work at the center could not intervene...I felt it was a privilege to watch the storks everyday and am grateful to have shared in their everyday lives. I'll keep this site and check in again next year when a new nest is viewed. Thank you for sharing the information with me and others. Hugs to you in Ohio and try to stay cool in the heat...
Willy, How about a glass of wine for me, and a shot of Vodka for itchyfeet.
itchyfeet, Trying to teaching me new tricks?...one of these days.....maybe (pry me with chocolate). You and tangolady are such pros on the puter! Getting ready to travel West?
On the radio they are being irate over Cleveland's presidential motorcade; with the heat they have also malfunctioning traffic lights to content with. Wed. 2 Aug. ~17:30 Ellen Wow, it worked!! Thanks Wanda!
Hi Willy, At storchennest.de they finally have the report of Hugo's death translated into English. I think a Canadian that has lived in Germany for 20 years does it for them. Have you read through any of their forum?
You have a cute word quiz going on your blog with Leslie and Sylvia. You ladies are soooo clever!!!
Nice day here, a cool 78*. Got some mowing in when I got home from work this AM.
Have an awesome weekend! Ellen Sat. 8/5, 11:45 EST
Good morning Ellen and friends Thanks for the information on the storchenest. I'll read some of the forum this morning before I sign off. I had lots of junk e-mail to clean up as I haven't been doing that lately. I did have some wine last night at the fair (and champagne too...Tobin James...a local winery) The Michael Bolton concert sounded great...I'm not a huge fan of his but I love smooth jazz and Euge Groove was fantastic! I'm off to make some snacks for my girlfriends who are driving up here (5 hrs) to visit me!
hi ellen, i hope things are going well in your neck of the woods. we're having a reprieve here from the heatwave. feels much better. pretty soon, you're going to need a new blog. your's is almost getting like francesca's. that means you're popular. take care and enjoy the rest of your sunday.
Hello ladies, I have been orphaned by itchyfeet and tangolady, as they head to Estes Park, CO for 2 weeks. Boo hoo! Meanwhile Am busy this week with taking care, i.e. having 4 of my grandchildren trying to keep up with me, LOL. Boy, does that make them sleep well! See you all next week, if the geezers don't wear ME down, oops, out! LOL Ellen Tues. Aug.8
Hi Ellen... Just little ole me popping in to say hello. I used to live in Colorado and rode on a Harley to Estes Park...It's absolutely beautiful! I hope tangolady and itchyfeet have a great time (I know they will) too bad you couldn't join them...didn't you recently go skiing in Colorado? (actually that was probably a few months ago) time sure does fly as we get older...did I say that??? We're not getting older...we're getting Better and Smarter!!!
Are your grandchildren still with you? Take it easy on them Oma...
My grandaughter ran in a downhill derby on Saturday and won first place for the fastest time!!! 17:50 seconds...funny thing is that she invited some of her girlfriends to join in and they said no...that's for boys. Well, she sure showed them!!! She beat those boys out of the 1st place trophy!!! I was a very proud Oma and of course I had my trusty camera with me :) Not much conversation on Frannie's blog so I thought I would visit a few others...getting tired now so I will say goodnight.. Tcheuss...Guten Abend
Have been fighting a fever off and on for several days. Right now is one of my fairly lucid moments, but am too weak to accomplish anything. Saw a doctor (=looked in the mirror) and she didn't look all that good herself. I'll post again when I feel better. Ellen Monday 8/21/06, 17:55 EST
Hi Ellen, I sent you an e-mail. I hope you're feeling a little better now. Glad you saw the doctor...:)...she must have the same thing you have? You are so funny! Even when you're ill.
Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I thought you were off skiing in Vail or elsewhere. Take care of yourself and come back soon.
Heading out shortly to the health center which, if the recent trend continues, will be packed to the ceiling with patients as it always is on Mondays and Fridays.
Oh well, the weekend is upon us and I get a chance to escape from it all for a little while, lol.
Dearest Enid, Thanks for sending "LOVE" (through Sark's, on Franny's blog). We all can use/ need a message as this. With still being too ill to go back to work, I am totally shut away from the world. At least it seems like it. You reminded me of all the things to be grateful for, had memories and visions provoked by some of the lines, and have me looking forward to what has not happened yet. To you and all friends here, have a blessed today and tomorrow, Love, Ellen Sunday 27 Aug 2006
FLIGHT TO AFRICA: "OUR" STORK COUPLE WERE ON 8/11 @ 11;05 AM THE LAST TIME TOGETHER IN THEIR NEST. IT SEEMS THAT LUNA STARTED THE FLIGHT SOUTH FIRST. CICO STAYED SEVERAL DAYS LONGER, TO REST AND STAY OVERNIGHT IN THE NEST. HE SLEPT THE LAST TIME IN THE NEST FROM 8/18 TO 8/19 AND LEFT EARLY MORNING. THE SEPARATE FLIGHT OF LUNA AND CICO CONFIRMED AGAIN THAT STORK COUPLES STAY TOGETHER ONLY FOR ONE SEASON, OTHERWISE GO THEIR SEPARATE PATHS.
THE YOUNG AND OLD STORKS GATHER AT GOOD FEEDING AREAS IN GROUPS TO START THEIR FLIGHTS TO THE WINTER QUARTERS IN AFRICA. SURPRISINGLY OFTEN THE YOUNG ONES LEAVE BEFORE THE OLD STORKS. THEY FIND THEIR WAY WITHOUT THE HELP OF THE PARENTS. THE FLIGHT GOES FIRST NORTHEAST (THE NESTS ARE ABOUT EAST OF BERLIN). ALL STORKS FROM EAST- AND CENTRAL EUROPE TAKE THE PATH ACROSS THE BOSPORUS, THROUGH TURKEY, ALONG THE MEDITERRANEAN COAST TILL ISRAEL, THAN OVER SINAI TO EGYPT, THAN ALONG THE NILE TILL CENTRAL AFRICA. MANY CONTINUE IN THE BEGINNING OF DECEMBER TILL SOUTH AFRICA- A 10,000 KM TRIP.
As you can see,I managed to get some pictures on this blog. I wanted to put them all into a photo "post", but that is still beyond my abilities. One is 3 views of the front of my house on 6/1, when the rhododendrons bloomed. The "Morningstar" shows the Lapis necklace I got via her blog from Cheryl....where is our favorite beading diva? You all have an awesome Sunday! Ellen 9/3/06 3:10 AM EST
Willy, Danke for all your flattering comments, I love it! Give yourself a pat on the shoulder for getting my pictures on Picasa, so I could send them to the blog and anyone else I want to pester. I was trying to make a collage when I ended up with the first picture all crooked. Than I was not able to delete or edit it, ach, the story of my life,LOL. Re skiing: I was 38 when I learned downhill skiing here in Ohio. When I went for a Seminar in Vail I got hooked on great, non icy, skiing conditions. Am not good, but love skiing for multiple reasons: 1) Being outside, and enjoy snow instead of complaining about it. Of course it should only snow over skiing areas..... 2) You can do it by yourself. 3) You can enjoy it at whatever ability level you ski. When one is "older" its' like with so many other things, we are not out to impress someone anymore! 4) You meet nice people...except in the "East", where kids ski or board totally out of control. "Western" skiers are in control and well mannered, IMO! 5) You have to totally concentrate on what you are doing, or you'll "wipe out". Good especially in troubled (not financially, than you can't afford this, LOL) times, all problems are pushed into the background. 6) YOU ARE IN A BEAUTIFUL WORLD!!!! Ellen Sunday 9/3, 15:45 EST
Ada, Thanks for visiting and commenting. Like you I had Willy's help to be able to post pictures here.
No commenting on your blog, so I hope you see this here.
"Huff and Puff" classes, LOL. When I came to this country women were not told anything by their (M.D.)doctors. My main intention with helping establish the classes was for the education of women and partners. That alone helps much with coping. If something for the pain is needed, by all means get it!! The Epidural leaves the head clear, and the woman can enjoy that indescribably wonderful moment of birth!!!! And I was allowed to share!!!!
Have a great rest of Sunday! I'll be spending it with my adoring Geezers. LOL Ellen 9/3 @ 16:25 EST
tangolady, You don't really want me to mess with your computer, messing up is all I'd do. How about some of the fantastic pictures from your recent trip with itchyfeet to Estes Park? Same goes for itchyfeet..... I am out of the orphanage with your return.
All of you, have a fantastic Labor Day. Hmm, Labor Day....I had many of those.... Ellen Monday, 9/4/06 @17:10 EST

Hello my blog friends,
What a nice surprise for you to visit.
Yesterday was just another day, only 2 of my 3 children called.
My best Mother's Day was 4 years ago. From my daughter came a bracelet. It had links that spelled out:
WE LOVE OMA, and 4 links with birthstones on them: March for Brook, May for Laine, June for Trent,

Was that great?!!!!

THINGS YOU SHOULD'VE LEARNT BY NOW
1. Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.
2. Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often.

25. It's not the jeans that make your bum look fat.
26. If you had to identify, in 1 word, the reason why the human

Good morning, Dr. Ellen
Take care and have a great day,
Enid

Any of you that are watching the storks at
storchennest.de
The first chick hatched 5/27, the second 6/1 at 9:43 AM; usually they hatch during the night.
Its 19:35 in Germany right now, maybe you can get a look at the chicks while the parents change brooding duties.

Hello blogger friends,
6/6/06, for me a day where I don't have to wonder if the day or the month is the first number of the date.
When you go to storchennest.de keep in mind that in German the day comes first.
The chicks died last year. The autopsy showed a fungal infection transmitted by the food, frogs and stuff,
that the parents fed the chicks.
Go to NEWS, than to the year 2005.
look at 7.6.05 = 6/7/05
and 22.6.05 = 6/22/05
I keep only seeing one chick, but they do not mention anything adverse in the 2006 news.
Willy,
You were lucky to be on an (American?) military train going to Berlin. That way you were not SUBJECT to being searched by the Russians
My Oma (mother's mother), and one aunt & husband lived in West Berlin.
My parents could tell horror stories of their trips there.
Berlin was totally surrounded by Russian occupied land, so crossing the
2 borders often was extended into hour long ordeals for the travellers being searched.
It all depended on the mood the Russian were in that day, they had total control of
the "East Germans" that had to do the dirty work.
Berlin itself was divided into 4 parts, according to occupation by Americans, British, French, and Russians.
Only the Russians set up a controlled border between their and the other sections.
The WALL was built August 1961, to make it even more difficult for Germans to cross
from East to West Berlin.
Y'all have a lovely week, great day in Ohio today.

hi ellen,

Hi Ellen
Thanks for the information on the baby storks...I visit them every day and enjoy watching them...sometimes I have it on so I can hear them while I am checking e-mail.
1>Schweinfurt: April 1970-Nov 1970
2>Friedberg/Bad Nauheim: 1974-1977
3>Baumholder: 1979-1982
My second daughter was born in Wurzburg in 1970...we left when she was 6 weeks old because my husband was being sent back to Vietnam for the 2nd time...so I moved back to California with my 2 daughters.
I have many happy memories of our time in Germany and still keep in touch with friends I met there. When you are in the military, they become like family to you. I miss it alot and enjoyed sharing a little of it with you.
Tcheuss! Guten Nacht :)

Good morning...
I was just leaving for work...I posted this on frannie's blog last night and thought you'd be interested. It's regarding the stork nest.
Arrival at the nest:
29. March First stork (male) arriving the nest
03. April 00:50 Uhr - An female stork arrive at the nest. Begin of a lasting relationship of the couple
Eggs in the nest:
25. April 1st egg in the nest
27. April 2nd egg in the nest
29. April 3rd egg in the nest
01./02. May 4th egg in the nest
Hatching of the young:
27. May 1st young bird hatched out - named Lenka.
01. June 2nd young bird hatched out - named Meto.
Loss of nestlings:
03 June The oldest bird - Lenka - died
So that is why we have only seen 1 baby. I guess there are still 2 eggs to hatch?
Have a great day...

Sylvia,
Good for you! If there is no great rush, might as well smell the roses on the way to furthering your education.
Willy,
Not to "pull a Val" (LOL) I'll respond to you here.
BTW, my son was conceived after my husband had spent 2 months in Grafenwoehr; he was born in a very
busy hospital!!
A good Hump Day to you,
Ellen

Tcheuss...
By
willemina, at 11:00 PM
I also use a push mower on my lawn but I only have a small space. I love doing my own yardwork and it looks better than my neighbors who pay a lot of money for a landscaper.
By
willemina, at 11:02 PM
Hi Willy,
Marry an active duty officer?
Didn't you have enough with the first one? LOL
My oldest son did join the army to go to Germany. But he screwed things up, ended in Korea for 1 year.
With your son 1 block away, you are just the right distance to enjoy him and your freedom both.
Maybe talk him into enlisting? LOL
Now onto the storks:
There are several nests where one of the parents gets killed and the left parent is unable to feed and tend to the chicks by itself.

Hi Ellen,
Who am I fooling? I don't know if I ever want to marry again, although it wasn't the military I had a problem with...it was the man I married, and he wasn't an officer...a senior NCO...both of my sons have no interest at all in the military...had enough of that with their dad.
I'm still checking on little Hugo in the storchennest and have been communicating with some ladies from Holland through the forum there.
I went wine tasting this evening therefore I am just a little bit tipsy :) I hope you are enjoying your weekend?

Hello blogger friends,
My attention is now divided between the storchennest and the soccer world cup in Germany.
Today, Sat 6/17, the USA played their second game, and tied 1:1 with Italy. So they are
still "in the running".
Now don't you all get too excited......the rest of the world knows that Americans couldn't care less about soccer.
An awesome weekend to all that stop in,
and a special hug to you, Sylvia

Sylvia,
Of course there are some here that care about soccer, but most of them are immigrants LOL.
Nice new blog you set up, I just didn't know anything clever to say for posting.
Nice to be able to have a picture with the name.
Willy and Cheryl,
The next time you have "imbibed" see if you can pass the sobriety test on "the other" blogs! LOL
Wow isn't Hugo growing fast! My sister Ingrid had given me that storchennest address last year.
Kind of fun to think we two are looking at the same pictures, even though 5000 miles apart.
Have an awesome week,

This is a shortened exert of
Ann Lander's column May 6, 1995:
It is still totally up to date in its' relevancy.
Here are some of the highlights of breast cancer risk by age quoted from the "Women's Health Letter":
"...you had probably the phrase "one in eight" branded into your brain.
A woman's chance to develop breast cancer are:
At the age of 20, one in 2500
at 30, one in 233
at 40, one in 63
at 50, one in 41
at 60, one in 28
at 70, one in 24
at 80, one in 16
at 90, one in 8.
I will quote more about the risks of breast cancer for a woman in another post.

Just copy and paste to your browser...the address has to be exactly as written...with all dashes and dots :) and it's a long one.

Hi Ellen,
Happy Friday.

Hi Willy, Sylvia, Carol, and whoever else stumbles onto my BLOGK,
Finally got back on the web, so posted some bragging on LA SWEET'S blog.
Trying to get my huge yard mowed before it rains again. This part of Ohio,
near Cleveland and Akron, almost got washed off the map Thursday.
I am wearing a T-shirt I bought at the Frankfurt airport June 1990. On it the three times Germany won the cup,
1954, 1974,1990. My neighbors know what a Kraut I am, a no sour one!?? LOL
Boy, the dutch soccer team was pretty rowdy in this last game....oh well, all that testosterone.
Nice bodies! Great legs with all that running.....
Maybe that is why soccer is not all that popular here, a player has to last through the whole game.
The German team has two 37 year old ones on it.
Ok, back out I go.
The night is planned for time with tent building geezers LOL

Hi Ellen,
I'm just stopping by some of the blogs tonight to say hello and catch up.
Carol
You, Ellen and I all have something in common...we all married military men.

Hallo,
Got off a 12 hour shift a little bit ago. Will be out of the picture for a while,
need all the beauty sleep I can get.

In regards to some of the hurt feelings expressed on Franny's blog today:
It takes lots of "positive back up" to make us feel good about ourselves.
One negative can destroy it.
Hope this sentence's meaning is understandable.

thanks for your kind words. we're speaking from the heart. i've gotten to know (online, of course) the people we regularly blog with, and i don't believe anyone would intentionally hurt our feelings. i'm glad you said on your 1st comment here to vent feelings, opinions, viewpoints. sometimes people do need to do that. even though we may not always comment, i think we do step up in the time of need. i hope marty continues to blog with us. i know she's feeling a little hurt, and i'm glad she spoke up. sometimes we need that to focus less on ourselves. have a good nite.

By
droma, at 4:16 PM
Hi Ellen,
I'm sorry that Deutschland lost against Italy. I had tears in my eyes watching them after the game... they were heartbroken and so was I for them. They gave it their all.
By
willemina, at 4:02 PM
Hi Willy,
Oh well, can't win them all.
TGIF!!!! (7/7/06)

By
droma, at 10:52 AM
Hi Ellen
I'm copying my post from my blog to you here...
By
willemina, at 9:47 AM
Hi Willy,
Lisa probably has great legs from all the soccer playing!
When at the hospitals I always took the stairs instead of the elevator.
Sometimes another Doctor would run after me, just to watch my legs.
They had never seen calf muscle definition on a woman's legs before
(at least that is what they told me).
Often by the 5th floor I would leave them "in the dust"
Even though I was in high heels! LOL
Have a great weekend!

Hi Ellen
I recognize quite a few of those asses!

Hi Ellen
TGIF!

Good morning ladies,
How nice of you to visit; thank you Willy and Wanda.
Your "simple" friend Ellen

droma, at 5:17 AM
LOL
A good weekend to you all,
Ellen

Heloooo Dr. Ellen,
You just made me laugh just now, what with the sweaty sheets and no electricity.
Sounds like a typical day in Belize where we are usually sweating from the heat and humidity when outside.
Inside is no better when the electricity fails. Because we are partially powered by hydro electricity, things have been going well lately due to the deluge of rain we are experiencing also.
Have a great Saturday and stay cool,
Enid

Good morning Ellen
I never thought of Princess Diana when I mentioned my middle name...her death was such a tragedy...I think everyone remembers where they were and what they were doing when they heard about her accident.
Enid
What's with all the rain? I love rain...I'm sure ours will come in due time. I sure would love a big thunderstorm in this heat...our humidity is not high usually so the heat is bearable for most...I just don't do well in the heat. Summer is usually a person's favorite season...not mine, I'll take spring or fall anyday :)

All last week I had my daughter's family here. Her children, meine Enkel, are 10, 8, 5, and 3 years old. By the time they left, I think I wore them out, LOL, am one tough Oma!! Ha!
I just got off a 14 hour shift at the Nursing Home.

Hi, Ellen. Thanks so much for dropping by. It was so nice to hear from you. Gosh, we used to have fun on the SB site, didn't we?

I put this on Franny's new blog, and will post it here to have something meaningful on this blog.
Willy,
There was no sunscreen until 1975, when Johnson&Johnson came out with "Sundown".
Josie,
Yes, there was some fun with posting on the BS site.
Wonder how XX is doing, she felt so easily threatened!
And for RR: So much for commitment from a man!
IMO us women are more resilient, not easily discouraged by a "temporary" setback.
Guess I am a reversed Chauvinist, LOL.
HAVE AN AWESOME (HOT) DAY,
Ellen

Meany me put this on Franny's blog in response to her giving a receipt for a drink made with cola:
How is this for being a spoilsport, but meant for our own good to prevent Osteoporosis:
Colas have Phosphoric acid. The more of it that gets into the blood, the more Calcium
is pushed out via the kidneys. Too much Cola contributes thus to getting Osteoporosis,
a preventable problem. Colas are the only Sodas that have Phosphoric acid; check the labels.
Written because I care,
Dr. Ellen

By
droma, at 9:51 AM
Ok ladies,
Here another one of my smartallik remarks, but meant in all sin-cerity:
No problem with drinking Sodas, and if you don't need the sugar calories, have all the diet soda you want.
TGIF!

Have an awesome weekend,
Ellen

Hello blog friends,
I'd like to say something positive and cheerful after being the messenger of bad news, but its' so hot and humid here in Ohio, that my brain is too fried....
You all have an awesome Tuesday

Hi Willy,
At storchennest.de they finally have the report of Hugo's death translated into English.

Good morning Ellen and friends
Thanks for the information on the storchenest. I'll read some of the forum this morning before I sign off. I had lots of junk e-mail to clean up as I haven't been doing that lately.
I did have some wine last night at the fair (and champagne too...Tobin James...a local winery)
The Michael Bolton concert sounded great...I'm not a huge fan of his but I love smooth jazz and Euge Groove was fantastic!
I'm off to make some snacks for my girlfriends who are driving up here (5 hrs) to visit me!
Enjoy the weekend

Meanwhile Am busy this week with taking care, i.e. having 4 of my grandchildren trying to keep up with me, LOL. Boy, does that make them sleep well!
See you all next week, if the geezers don't wear ME down, oops, out! LOL

I was a very proud Oma and of course I had my trusty camera with me :)
Not much conversation on Frannie's blog so I thought I would visit a few others...getting tired now so I will say goodnight..

Hi Ellen,
I sent you an e-mail.
I hope you're feeling a little better now. Glad you saw the doctor...:)...she must have the same thing you have?
You are so funny! Even when you're ill.

Dr. Ellen, guten Morgen:)

Dearest Enid,
Thanks for sending "LOVE" (through Sark's, on Franny's blog).
We all can use/ need a message as this.
With still being too ill to go back to work, I am totally shut away from the world.
At least it seems like it.
You reminded me of all the things to be grateful for,
had memories and visions provoked by some of the lines,
and have me looking forward to what has not happened yet.
To you and all friends here, have a blessed today and tomorrow,
Love, Ellen

From storchennest.de:

HERE A QUICK TRANSLATION:
FLIGHT TO AFRICA:
"OUR" STORK COUPLE WERE ON 8/11 @ 11;05 AM THE LAST TIME
TOGETHER IN THEIR NEST.
GUTE NACHT!

Willy,
Danke for all your flattering comments, I love it!
Am not good, but love skiing for multiple reasons:
1) Being outside, and enjoy snow instead of complaining about it.

Ada,
Thanks for visiting and commenting.
Like you I had Willy's help to be able to post pictures here.
No commenting on your blog, so I hope you see this here.
"Huff and Puff" classes, LOL.
When I came to this country women were not told anything by their (M.D.)doctors. My main intention with helping establish the classes
was for the education of women and partners.
LOL

tangolady,
You don't really want me to mess with your computer, messing up is all I'd do.
How about some of the fantastic pictures from your recent trip with itchyfeet to Estes Park?
Same goes for itchyfeet.....
I am out of the orphanage with your return.
All of you, have a fantastic Labor Day.
Hmm, Labor Day....I had many of those....
